The 7th International Academic Conference on Automotive Intelligent and Connected Technologies 2024 was successfully held in Jiading, Shanghai. The conference was hosted by Tongji University and co-organised by Shengzhou Yangtze River Delta Intelligent New Energy Vehicle Innovation Centre and SAE International. The conference focused on a number of key topics such as intelligent technology innovation, functional safety and SOTIF, chip and computing, big model, simulation and testing technology, etc. Focusing on automotive intelligence and interconnection, the conference discussed the academic progress and technology application in the field of automotive intelligence and internet connectivity based on academic fundamentals and industry technologies.
With the in-depth development of the concept of software-defined vehicle, SOAFEE and other cutting-edge organisations are actively promoting the new way of distributed working model brought by vehicle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Telematics. However, there are still challenges and limitations in building such vehicle architectures and technologies to enable software diagnostics.
The paper ‘Diagnostics of automotive service-oriented architectures with SOVD’, co-authored by DSA Daten- und Systemtechnik GmbH and DSA-China Electronic Technology Co.,Ltd., Elsevier Ei Compendex and Scopus databases and was officially published in December 2024: doi.org/10.4271/2024-01-7036
At the 2024 International Academic Conference on Intelligent and Connected Technologies, experts and scholars from the industry heard how DSA fills the gaps in software diagnostics for vehicle SOA architectures based on the SOVD diagnostic protocol, providing a new way of thinking about intelligent diagnostics for automotive electronic systems.
SOVD Solutions
As an association member of ASAM, DSA has published an innovative solution for vehicles with SOA architecture and High Performance Computing Units (HPC) based on the SOVD API (ISO/AWI 17978) international standard proposed by ASAM. The solution focuses on the problems of vehicle software and how to design the software diagnostic architecture, aiming to break through the limitations of the existing UDS diagnostic protocols and provide strong support for software diagnostics and optimisation of vehicle systems.
PRODIS.SOVD-Server
PRODIS.SOVD server strictly follows the ASAM SOVD API definition and supports Linux, QNX, Android and other POSIX operating systems to ensure broad compatibility and flexibility. Our solution not only supports customised cybersecurity requirements, but also meets a variety of diagnostic modes such as remote, near-field and in-vehicle, which is able to meet the diagnostic challenges in different scenarios, provide a convenient and efficient diagnostic experience, and help you to comprehensively improve the intelligence and diagnostic efficiency of your vehicle's electronic and electrical systems.
CDA-Backend
In order to achieve a smooth switchover to the new architecture, we provide a mature and ISO-compliant solution based on the ISO22900-2 standard diagnostic protocol data API and ISO22900-3 standard MCD kernel, which is compatible with the traditional ECU and ensures a fast and seamless transition to the SOVD architecture. This compatibility enables the effective integration of legacy and modern technologies, simplifying the technology update process and minimising potential risks during the switchover.
HPC-Backend
HPC serves as a communication and scheduling middleware for internal and external components, providing detailed hardware, software, performance data and error log analysis to ensure the stability and efficient operation of the vehicle diagnostic system. In addition, we provide a comprehensive software diagnostic solution that supports interfacing with different domain controllers, helping you to efficiently analyse and solve software problems in domain controllers. Our system is highly customisable and supports flexible expansion of functional components according to customer needs.
Comprehensive Coverage of Diagnostic Scenarios
Our SOVD solution is compatible with diagnostic functions in different scenarios such as OTA upgrade, remote diagnosis and in-vehicle diagnosis, helping you to unify the diagnostic interfaces in the vehicle and improve the overall level of intelligence, diagnostic efficiency and user experience. Whether it is in the diagnosis of traditional vehicle electronic system or in the diagnosis and analysis of software problems in intelligent electric vehicles, we are committed to providing customers with flexible, unified, comprehensive and efficient diagnostic solutions to help the future development of intelligent mobility.
DSA is the Enabler
DSA has rich experience in vehicle diagnostics, and is able to deeply integrate the specifications of each enterprise and flexibly customise the enterprise standards to meet the needs of engineering, production, after-sales, remote and other application scenarios. As a pioneer in this field, DSA not only provides a complete SOVD tool chain, but also a complete SOVD deployment solution, as well as consulting and support for related technologies.
SOVD Consultancy
DSA is able to customise SOVD enterprise specifications through in-depth interpretation of SOVD standards, and has rich experience and strength in assisting enterprises to define ECU diagnostic questionnaires containing SOVD information. At the same time, DSA can work closely with them to complete the design of the whole vehicle SOVD electronic and electrical architecture to fully meet the needs of SOVD clients in production, after-sales, remote and other scenarios.
SOVD Data Collation
The diagnostic capability description files that can be generated for ECU development and tool vendors assist in the rapid development of efficient, flexible and accurate diagnostic services that meet the needs of different vehicles and scenarios.
SOVD On-board Deployment
The DSA supports vehicle-side deployment of the SOVD protocol stack, which not only meets the needs of software diagnostics such as Handling Domain Control (HPC), but is also compatible with the traditional UDS protocol, enabling seamless integration and upgrading of diagnostic technologies.
SOVD Tool Chain
DSA has tools and technologies that cover the whole chain of support from R&D, production, after-sales, remote, on-board diagnostics. It also provides customised and efficient testing of the SOVD stack and SOVD client to ensure system stability and reliability.
DSA closely combines the concept of software-defined vehicles with the implementation of SOVD diagnostics, and is continuously working on optimising and upgrading the solution, laying a solid foundation for future expansion of functionality with a forward-looking perspective.
