High-voltage batteries are the core elements of climate-friendly electromobility. To ensure high quality, performance and durability, DSA offers customised production solutions for testing battery packs and their components. The tests require special care and know-how in dealing with high voltage and the related risks. The early identification of leaking components or inadequate electrical insulation, possibly due to assembly errors, prevents extensive damage to the battery, vehicle, environment or persons and increases economic efficiency.
The DSA portfolio includes in-line test systems designed for preliminary stages of the battery pack, such as modules and layers, as well as end-of-line test systems for assembled battery packs. The sequences provide an insight into the advanced production of high-voltage batteries for electrically powered commercial vehicles as well as the semi-automated leak testing of cooling circuits and battery housings. Possible leaks can be localised precisely using the rework carriage.
